ABOUT
I am a self-taught artist and experimentalist.
A continuous developing and playful process constitutes the foundation for the execution of my art. The main part is created in a symbiosis of natural materials; straw, coffee, cement, etc. Everyday materials drawn from my experience as a thatcher and restaurateur of historical buildings, combined with a calm, but intense color palette of acrylics, where the medium of the painting is pushed to almost sculptural effects.
The nature of the materials dictates the developing processes, which I try to control with forceful strokes and spatulas in an abstract landscape. All the while, I seek to challenge the boundaries of the canvas and create a world of ever-alluring textures.

I am resided in Roskilde, Denmark, and is part of Atelier Under.
